LGBTQ+

Awareness Training

Clock, Inc strives to advance the community and advocate on the well-being of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, (LGBTQ+) individuals in the Quad City area. Clock, Inc provides educational trainings to help strengthen the knowledge about the individuals identifying in this community. Our trainings are intended to be judgment free and supportive spaces. 

Generally, these trainings last 1-2 hours with 1 facilitator and volunteers. 

We offer several trainings and are able to customize our training depending on the requested needs of the organization. Clock, Inc provides regular training to mental health providers, government agencies, hospitals, law enforcement agencies, schools and administrators, parents/friends/allies about the dire needs facing LGBT+ individuals. Our training is available to any individual, group or organization interested in issues of discrimination, safety, awareness, and advocacy. 

A way that Clock, Inc fulfills their mission is by providing education to individuals who are interested in raising awareness and educating themselves of the LGBT+ community. The speaker will share their own story of struggle and success of identifying in the LGBT+ community. Our dedicated speaker is able to visit schools, organizations, affirming churches, and many more! This allows individuals to learn more about the LGBT+ community, ask questions in a non-judgmental environment, and allow open and honest communication about the LGBT+ community.

Cost: Our mission is to promote LGBT+ awareness to others, and do not have a set fee established, we ask you to consider a SUGGESTED DONATION to allow Clock, Inc to continue offering services to the Quad Cities area.

Our trainings raise awareness and educate the those on the issues that impact LGBT+ individuals. Our Speaker visits schools, organizations, and other meeting places in the Quad City area sharing personal stories and provides time to ask questions in a safe space and have a real, honest conversation about LGBT+ issues. Trainings may cover, but not limited to topics listed below: ​

  • Advance Equity & Inclusion for Transgender & Gender Nonconforming People

  • Broad understanding of LGBT+ issues

  • Personal struggles

  • Increase Access to Affirming Mental Health Services

 

All individuals will receive certificate of training with Clock, Inc.

Clock, Inc Safe Place Certified!

Training materials: Clock, Inc will NOT provide individual hard copies of training materials for speaking events. Prior to the event, you will receive electronic versions of the material that will be covered. YOU will be responsible for printing materials needed for you and your team. We ask that you respect Clock, Inc's integrity of our training and materials will  NOT be released or shared with others who do not attend training events we facilitate.
